Why Did She Choose Acupuncture?

Hi there! My journey into medicine began at a young age, inspired by my mother, Ginger, a dedicated Southern Style Kung Fu martial artist who started her practice at 17. She trained with Great Masters Daniel Pi and Andrew Lum in Hawaii, where she gave birth to me, my twin sister, and my brother while fully immersed in her martial arts practice.

Inspired by my mother, I was drawn to Chinese medicine and martial arts. I began practicing yoga in 2012 and Tai Qi, a meditative practice, in 2013. In 2017, while studying Chinese medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii, I joined Master Dong’s Family Lineage, where I deepened my understanding of the art and ancient Chinese philosophy. Today, I continue to practice Tai Qi, yoga, and other forms of movement, including dance.

When I’m not studying medicine or practicing movement, I enjoy camping and adventuring in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my husband and our pug, Odo.

“Well-being is about the combination of our love for what we do each day, the quality of our relationships, the security of our finances, the vibrancy of our physical health, and the pride we take in what we have contributed to our communities. Most importantly, it’s about how these five elements interact.” – Tom Rath

Why Choose Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is more than just a treatment—it’s a pathway to better health. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture promotes natural healing and restores the flow of energy (Qi). This can lead to:

  • Pain Relief: Effective for chronic conditions such as back pain, migraines, and arthritis.
  • Stress Reduction: Helps in lowering stress levels and improving mental clarity.
  • Better Sleep: Addresses sleep disorders and promotes restorative sleep.
  • Enhanced Immunity: Strengthens the immune system, making you less prone to illnesses.
